As any newbie says”studying linux is a huge sloppy learning curve”.
I had to suffer the configuration of mouse since i had just the CD-1.that itself was a big herculean task :switching between windows and debian learning things from the net jottin it down and the going back to debian and making it work.
There is the headache of getting the modem into debian.
When the service provider was contacted they said that there is linmodem available and the older winmodem wont be taken back.:meaning have to get the new modem and older modem will not b taken back and there is no price difference paid.
Since the sponsor of net is in no situation so as to make me learn the benefits of www in debian ;the plan was dropped.Then there is this winmmodem to linmodem conversion USB modem configuring etc…all of which turned out to be time/money wasted.
but I did learn some commands.
Publishing this blog from windows make my heart sink a little.
May be there is still some twinkling stars in the sky.
Having,a good computer professor at hand and working on debian system in labs.I decided to try it out at my own machine.At first trial ,I played with partitions in disk manager(Windows) and got my desktop PC wiped clean.Second time I got my debian etch to work with windows xp .But this time there was some problem with the windows installation.Since the fellow who installs Windows for me does not know anything about Linux.,I had no choice but to allow another clean sweep of my hard disk.
As somebody said “there is always a third chance”.
I did that the third time in spite of warnings from my computer sponsor.I configured the mouse which was not working.And now I am trying to establish his internet connection.Lets hope for the worst.
Another week full of hollidays

Monday was a working day.From tuesday rain helped lot of us to sit simply and relax.
Wednesday and thursday were announced to be holiday.Friday….well SFI’s some leader was killed so strikes again.
Long awaited vacation .Hope this vacation doesn’t get spoiled.
The online life is never getting bored.with people around with smileys and emoticons.Clicks and typing is this what the world has become.Everyday you get a new website from the newspaper,tv.etc.
How many of us really like being online-(not many i suppose!).sometimes its just timepass and some other time its……………..
